How to Use the Escape Tracker During Live Gameplay

Surviving a session in House of The Locust requires rapid decision-making under constant threat from The Locust. Each run features randomized room loot across the main house and basement corridors. By toggling items on this tracker as you explore, you can instantly verify which locking mechanisms are ready for bypass and prioritize your remaining search paths.

The three mandatory items must all be brought to the final security exit gate. The Electronic Keycard enables the digital control terminal, the House / Exit Key disengages the mechanical deadbolt, and the Wire Cutter severs the heavy chain barrier. Only after all three steps are completed does the escape threshold open to trigger the ending cutscene.

Threat Assessment & Danger Mitigation

When The Locust enters an alert or pursuit state, sprint noise and active flashlight beams drastically accelerate monster closing speeds. In solo runs, breaking line of sight around multiple door corners before crouching in darkened corners is mandatory. In cooperative multiplayer servers, players holding mandatory escape tools should remain in hiding while designated scouts bait The Locust across opposite hallways.
